well.recently on WND nikvoodoo stated that where my username came from was in my how'd you get your username thread. well that thread didnt exist... untill now.

so around three years ago i started a series of drawings in black and red, the first of them was the one below, (i apologize in advance for being big pics, im a primitive man. computers are hard at times)...anyways. it obviously has the toddisdead tagline in it and from there i just stuck with it. the seven for a T has become a thing of mine, as its actually what my T's look like in my signature.... if theres enough interest ill post the rest of the series a couple pics at a time...feel free to guess at the meaning behind these....thats part of the fun for me, hearing what other people see/read into my work!!!

cheers.......todd

The first thing I notice is one character is associated with a handgun while the other has brass knuckles. I also thought of a portrait of Dorian Grey. But, there is a gender discrepency and I do not want to go there.

First thing I notice is the tie. I can see it three ways

1 holy. Upside down crucifix. I am not worthy to wear the cross. There is no way I can bare the weight of XP cross. The best I could do is drag it and ask others for help

2. Unholy. I hold XP in contempt and I wear the cross upsid down as blasphemy

3. Aphrodite's mirror. Western representation of woman with the face of the mirror shattered and around your neck, kinda like a noose.

These are amazing! I am not one who critiques art or anything like that, I look at stuff simply for the most part so I have nothing really profound to say. They are all very striking, I can't stop looking at some of them. Every time I do look, I notice another detail I did not see before, they are fun to look at in a way. Great job! I am always jealous of people who can draw, because I fail at that miserably lol.

ive done a fair amount of commissioned work, and quite a bit of tattoo flash artwork in a similar vein to a lot of this. but these are pieces that have "sentimental value" to me...even though they sit in a corner tucked away in a portfolio...i'd never part with a majority of these drawings..

well if you ver do some more black and red pieces, you have to post them. it is now a rule. see it's right here:

Rule 31: Buckle up
Rule 32: Enjoy the little things
Rule 33: 7odd must post any future red and black works

in seriousness, i would love to see any future pieces you do in the same vein, these are amazing. so if you don't mind me asking, where did you draw inspiration for those?

its a story of pictures i was telling to get it out of my head. basically, the woman in the pics is trying to kill me...yep..thats about it

think of the movie "the cell" and thats kinda the world i have inside my subconsious, well except maybe half as violent/sexual...most things just flow from the back of my mind...i have little control over the way things come out really (strange to say,but true :) )

I'm just going to go ahead and give this a bump for a) new members to view the awesome, and b) to give Todd a nudge to get his shit together and post some new work. So... bump. I guess.
