have you ever seen a movie that you randomly stumbled uppon that you loved to death but almost everyone around you has never seen or even heard of?

NOW IS YOUR CHANCE TO SHARE!!

I'll Start it off with two movies that have unique cult followings that I'm a BIG fan of:

"Phantom of the Paradise" Praised for being ahead of it's time, and from what i understand in Canada it's the equvilant to Rocky Horror Picture Show in america, i own the soundtrack(which was only Destributed in France) and the Special Edition DVD, it had poor reviews, but to me, and many other followers this was an amazing achievement.

"Miracle Mile" is an amazing movie!! it's about a young man that is late to a date with a girl he just met, on his way to pick her up he comes across a ringing phone booth. he picks up and hears the horrible news that he has about an hour before nuclear missles reach Los Angels. it keeps you on the edge of your seat throughout the whole movie as he tries to find the girl he loves, and escape the city before the nuclear fallout. was it all a joke? or was it actually happening?

A movie with Gary Busey as a killer gingerbread man, classic.

A move about a car tyre that gains consciousness and goes on a murderous rampage throughout a small town in America? Yes please.
Rubber is an amazing movie and, despite my brief summary, is really good. It is an homage to movies that don't make sense which makes it what it is (thats really good btw).
The opening monologue is amazing as well. That in itself is worth a look.

Mr. Brooks is another movie I love which is relatively unknown amongst my friends and sadly not well reviewed. It has a great cast including Kevin Costner, Demi Moore and Dane Cook (he's actually ok) plus many other faces. It has similarities to American Psycho in the fact that Kevin Costner is a wealthy businessman who is also a serial killer. The final scene is amazing and the music throughout is awesome. #9 on my all time favourites list as well.

Here's a movie I discovered on a deployment and enjoyed... why it never made it to theaters in the states is beyond me.

I loved Mr. Brooks. This was the only time I saw Dane Cook in something I didn't mind him in. However, I still think someone else could have played his role better. But still, an amazing movie.

I know what you mean. I thought he was good in his role on the count of the fact he didn't annoy me!

Yeah, from what I remember, it's a slight comedy, action flick. My guys were stoked when we saw the cover... which looked different than the DVD art you see here. Apparently, this movie was released only in European theaters. Not a great movie, but it could've made some dough if it was released in the late summer season for us Americans.

The first time I saw this movie it was late at night and I was stoned as fuck and didn't remember actually seeing it as I was pretty sure that I'd fallen asleep and the movie was a dream. Then I saw it again a few months later and was stoked that it was a real movie. Unfortunately very few people have ever seen it.

Repo! the Genetic Opera. it's a strange and twisted film based off of the stage musical. it isn't the best but i enjoyed it. and the Beautiful and talented Sarah Brightman is in it :)

truth be told,...this is a horrible film. but the basic premise behind it i find totally awesome. would recommend watching just based on the low budget/high concept angle

I saw this movie on late night cable when I was a kid. For a long time the only part I remembered from it was one line: "I'm the kind of guy who likes to party at 100mph with his hair on fire!" It took me about over a decade to find it again. Its surreal and unpolished, but an interesting concept.

There's an indie Canadian movie called 'Suck'. It has vampires, badass music, Alice Cooper, Iggy Pop, Alex Lifeson, Malcolm McDowell and a few others. It came out in '09 and I've been loving it ever since.

If you like gore, comedy, and the good ol' vampires, this is a must see.
