Hey ya'll- I'm Paul- usmcludwig on here.
Just an old Marine with too much time on the hands these days.
Ended up in the vast hell that is El Paso, Texas...should have just stayed overseas if I knew I was going to end up in the desert anyhow.
But ya- please don't take offense at things I say- I'm pretty assertive- note the "ass" part.

I'm not good with introductions... but i'll try. I'm Calen, and i'm from Canada. I am in love with Zombies (not literally), whenever I have a dream about Zombies I wake up saying "Astounding!". I make sure to have a zombie plan in mind where ever I go, can never be too safe. I started loving zombies after Shaun of the Dead, because they made surviving the Z-day funny. Which that made it better to watch or play zombie stuff since I was scared of Zombies at first. We're Alive is by far my favorite Zombie survival movie.. media.. thingy. It's almost like reading a book because you get to use your imagination for everything, but it's also easier to get emotions and actions because of the audio. Almost like reading for lazy people.
My favorite Zombie movies would have to be Dawn of the Dead (new one), Shaun of the Dead, and 28 Weeks Later. Or maybe I am Legend too. I rate my Zombie movies by Zombie killing, Zombie count, and survival story. Zombieland was a great one too, but not enough Zombies for me.
Favorite games would have to be Resident Evil 2 (first one I ever played, was sooo scary) Left 4 Dead, and Dead Rising. Both being the first games in their sequels. I just loved the hordes of Zombies!
That's all there really is. Hopefully I'm not being too n00by! I've never been part of these forum stuff before!

My name's Copper, a UK national and zombie fanatic.
I came to this site mainly because of a thread discussing plans for an Outbreak: Undead game, and registered for much the same reason; in the end, however, I was drawn in by the pretty colours, and flowery speech. :)
Glad to meet you all.

Aug 24th, 2011, 04:21 AM
I don't get to close to anyone, just so everyone knows. Names Ziggi and I'm from Edmonton Alberta all the way up here in Canada. A little good because the cold could freeze the zombies if they aren't smart enough to know to keep warm. I move around a lot so Edmonton won't be were I am forthwith most part and that's the way I like it. I may come off as an asshole right now but it's the safest for me just incase of infection, no ties no problem taking care of them. And yes extremely intense on this subject cause again you never know.
Other than that I'm a pretty chill guy. I like art and walks and the we're alive podcast. Horror movies are like my deity and cooking is my most favorit past time. I'm good at surviving on a little things and know some things about guns. So ya that's me and what I'm about.

Howdy folks I never really know what to write in any "describe yourself" kind of thing. I just do not spend that much time thinking about me. Anyway My name is Jeff and I live in Ohio. I am 34 blah blah blah...I've been in love with the zombie genre since I was about 10 when I seen my first zombie movie (Return of the Living Dead.I was around 10 or so and at the time I thought it was one of the greatest movies ever. It had everything a boy between the kiddie phase and puberty could ask for. Namely gratuitous violence, blood, monsters and last but certainly not least a red headed naked punk rock dancing girl!). I have since found that this is not one of the best (understatement) but it holds a special place in my mind anyway. Now I enjoy just about any media that deals with the undead or in some cases viral outbreak zombies whether it be movie, television serial, cartoon, graphic novel (that's artsy speak for comic book), written and now podcast.

Hello my name is Vincent,
I am a huge fan of horror and podcasts, I have been addicted to Zombies for 25 years and this is my first meeting.
I frealizedaized I was an addict when I searched out Romero movies on LaserDisc, I then went on to watching foreign horror movies (Dario Argento) My Zombie collection of movies is near 100 on DVD. It is so bad my kids think it is ok to get me ultra low budget zombie movies and books for fathers day.
I hope that attending anonymous meetings I can overcome my addiction...

Not quite sure. It was more of an overhear talking about the podcast. I am no longer with that company so I will probably never know. I am trying to spread the word as much as I can.

What's happening Zombie fans. My name is Jon. Friends call me Jonny. I'm a 34 year old professional who grew up watching zombie and horror flicks. Zombies have always been my favorite "Monster". It started with movies, then video games, books and now podcasts! I love good survival stories! This podcast is by far the best I've heard! The characters, the sound effects the score.... All top notch. I'm just now wrapping up the 2nd season. TBH I'm a little bummed. Now I'm going to have to wait for episodes like everyone else...
See ya around!

Hi guys. 772 posts? Must be a pretty big tower.
Still, on with the introduction. Happened a by the podcast while looking for something completely unrelated. I then found this website courtesy of Britney and the team at 'We're Not Dead'. (No Britney, don't go to Costco!)
I live in Luton, about 30 miles north of London, UK, so I'm already used to living around a bunch of guys who aren't sure if they're alive or dead. Thoroughly enjoying the show, but have to say that Pippin (I still find it hard to say that name without cringing!) has the worst English accent since Dick Van Dyke became a chimney sweep. Cor-Blimey mate! (you must REALLY hate us)
Determined not just to lurk, so maybe catching you around the forum.

I have been a zombie fiction fan for quite a few years now. I happened upon We're Alive totally by accident. I do data entry for a law firm and I download books on tape so I have something to listen too. All it took was for me to listen to one episode, and I was hooked. Keep it going and I can not wait till the new season starts up.

Hello everyone!
I'm new here, joining the survivors here.
I first heard about We're Alive from a Podcast (Leog) at Spill.com - It was a long time ago.
I first listened to We're Alive season one, I catched up pretty quickly. I was so excited when Season was near release :3
I've been lurking now and then during season 2. And finally I signed up to the forums. (I haven't even signed up on Spill.com too!)
I've re-listened the whole two season again and, again! doens't get old :3
I have listened to The Mark of the Beast 1/3 so many times :/ I just don't know why hahaha...
I think its because the chemistry between Tardust and Bricks .=. hahaha!

Hey, I'm Aaron, originally from Boston, and now residing in Tokyo. I work as a full-time translator, and worry every day on my morning commute that the zombie apocalypse is coming. If it does come to Japan, I believe I'll be truly screwed. 35 million zombies can't be easy to run away from.

Hi,
I'm Geoff. Live in Ottawa, Ontario. Married with 2 beautiful daughters who both know to trip up a zombie first then go for the head (Since they are both still young.) They can also climb trees like nobodies business. The trick in training your daughters to survive the impending zombie apocalyse is to have them doing things that the wife doesn't completely disagree with... oh and calling it something else... like pumpkin carving, really you need to jam the knife in hard and deep to make the eyeholes... yes sometimes a hammer is used to make the hole on top.. or earholes.
Been a zombie fanatic ever since watching Michael Jackson's Thriller...well scared of zombies anyways. damn dancing zombies.... Romero's trilogy were the first real zombie flicks I watched and the first in my ever growing collection. Enjoy the classic slow moving zombies but have no issues with other types.. just pray that when the zombies rise up we get the slow movers only... smart ones, strong ones, jumpers and I'm betting on being screwed, my zombie plan doesn't cover those variables yet.
I found WA just over halfway through season 1 and been hooked ever since Saul ran over the commander.
I just finished listening to all of the We're not dead podcast, laughed my ass off and liked the theories put out there. After listening to the podcast I decided to come here and join up to get just a little more WA content and have more zombie fun.
Cheers all.
PS: I ramble on sometimes.

You can call me Jack. I'm currently in Philadelphia. I'm Texan by birth tho, so please don't mistake me for anything but. I've bounced all over the country but still miss home.
I'm a writer, photographer and firearms enthusiast. I grew up raising horses. Sadly I own none now, though. I'm presently working in the security field.
I've been a living dead fan since I was a child. I remember going to the public library in the early days of the net, reading zombie fiction at homepageofthedead.com and getting weird looks from passersby. Back then I was a weirdo for liking "dead things", so all of these zombie n00bs annoy the hell out of me. And on a related note, if you're a twilight fan, then I'll type slower and in caps for you.
I discovered WA at the very end of season one, through a friend. At first I was worried that it would turn out to be something worthy of having John Russo in the credits, but upon listening to the first five minutes was hooked. In a way WA has taken the place of my beloved LOST.
In short, I'm eagerly awaiting season three. If you want to talk guns, Doctor Who, F. Paul Wilson books, or good old fashioned horror and zombies hit me up

Bonnie Scotland calling :)
Joined the forum today so thought I should introduce masel`.
56,bald,"Bairn" ( Falkirk F.C. supporter ) of about 48 years .
Anywhoo Were Alive is the best audiobook/radio drama I have listened to. Journey Into Space is relegated to second place now :( but that said I have listened to JIS heaven knows how many times. The storyline in Were Alive has gripped me from the first time I heard the show. I had recently been given a Roberts Stream83i from my good lady and must have fallen asleep listening to "Sound Stage Radio". Cue many hours later and I woke up to one of the episodes of Were Alive, not sure what episode, and was instantly hooked. So much so that , again, my good lady got me the first series on cd. Listened to the entire first series and now listening again as I may have missed bits when drifting of to sleep :)
Utterly brilliant and as an audiobook/radio drama it is far better than any visual show could be as it leaves your mind to conjure up the scenarios .
Anywhoo folks, time for my tea so take care and will, in true Oliver style, be back soon :)

Greetings anyone and everyone,
My names is Joe M. I'm 17 years old, I've graduated high school(oOo and I'm from the United States). My favorite subjects in school were History, Psychology, and Sociology. My favorite historical studies are the American Revolution, World War I & II, and Renaissance/Golden Age(Any Country). Psychology and Sociology are interesting to me because, I always find myself thinking about why human begins do certain things, weather it be in large groups or one person.
I'm currently just taking a break until November when I deploy for training(Navy Basic Training), I am set to deploy in about 2 months. I have wanted to join the military for as long as I can remember and began the process of enlisting December, 3rd, 2010. My aspirations are to become a Career United States Navy Non Commissioned Officer or Commissioned Officer, or potentially work to a Special Operator contract(Navy SEALs or AIRR).
Other Fun Facts:
Swimming is by far my favorite thing to do in the summer and whenever I can, second only to Running. I love to party(of course), hang with friends, PT with the Navy crew(lol), and read & write. I want to visit Italy, Greece, Japan, Russia, India, basically I want to travel the world.
That's about it people, hope you enjoyed my wall of text
Got completely addicted to We're Alive because of my friend, listed to all of them in about 2 days! On my second listen now!

Ugh, I typed this out once, and thought I posted it, but I guess I hadn't quite figured it out.
Despite the handle, I'm Matt. I live in the 336 area as well ('Sup StepLaugh?). I've been listening to WA for about 2 weeks now, but within like 4 days I was done with Seasons 1 & 2. Then, I started WND, and I'm about one episode shy of being current with that (except I have to go back to ep. 17, I tried listening to it on my headphones, but Britt was hella quiet, so I ended up skipping it because I couldn't hear a thing. Did anyone else have that problem with this episode?). So, I'll probably go back to start re-listening to the first two seasons using all that I know now to try to get any more out of it before Season 3. Plus, after hearing and reading about all the theories and ideas here and on WND, I'll definitely be listening with a trained ear. ;)
I'm a barista, and got started on WA because of one of my awesome customers (actually, some of my coworkers got me hooked on TWD...maybe coffee and zombies go together?). I've been preachin' it to everyone I can, but I don't know that anyone has actually listened to me and started listening to it yet. Oh well.
I've been reading stuff on the forums and the wiki for the past week or so, and it's awesome how much stuff there is here. I really look forward to being part of this community!

Welcome, sir! And no, you are not the only one who had hard times with levels on some episodes. If I'm not mistaken that was the bizarre episode that Britt had to outsource the mixing of. Either way the last few have been solid levels wise. I don't have to "ride the faders" as it were while listening.

Welcome, sir! And no, you are not the only one who had hard times with levels on some episodes. If I'm not mistaken that was the bizarre episode that Britt had to outsource the mixing of. Either way the last few have been solid levels wise. I don't have to "ride the faders" as it were while listening.
Yeah, aside from that one episode (and the first couple with Greg's mike) all of them have sounded great!
And thanks for the welcome, it seems like a pretty nifty place, and I especially look forward to being able to get the serialized episodes and have time and a place to talk about them with people (with the first two seasons, I basically listened start to finish with no discussion or theorizing in between).
Not to be weird, but I feel like on an episode of WND you mentioned being from (Western?) New York, which I thought was cool cause I'm originally form Rochester and have all kinds of family all over the state. And then me and StepLaugh could be like next door neighbors now for all I know...

Hey, they call me MidnightSolitude, but my friends call me Solace. This is new to me, I'm not used to posting things except for on Facebook or DeviantArt, and even now I haven't posted of DA for over two months. However, I like Zombies and I like killing them because it's fun! There's nothing like running for your life and wasting as many bullets as you can on hoards upon hoards of zombies.
Anyway! I'm always looking for someone to chat with so if you have some spare time you should message me and we can talk about the up coming zombie apocalypse or rather, anything at all. It's always good to make friends when the world is soon to be over-run by flesh eating, man hunting, brain dead zombies, it's always nice to know that there are people you can count on out there!

Well hello there fellow survivors,
I've been delaying the introduction for 72 days and i still have nothing to say :D so yeah...
Basically I'm from Europe/Lithuania I'm 19 years old (20 on the 30th of October) my real name is insignificant because my friends call me by my nickname.
I got into zombies some years ago thanks to a zombie movie pack that i downloaded from thepiratebay, ever since I've been craving for stories about those brain dead, skin chewing piles of rotting flesh. Oh but i also like computer games, art (like in drawing painting and photoshopping), weapons (i own a blank pistol loaded with tear gas because the law in my country says: you gotta be 21 to get the real deal) aaaand Japan, i simply love Japan :D (they got this anime "Highschool of the Dead" and its amazing)
alright, now im off to the real world with no zombies and no need to gather suplies...

Hello,
My name is IGfanatic (some of my real life friends started calling me that...) I live in a cold winter world known as Canada and am currently going to highschool. The name IGfanatic comes from the game warhammer 40k, the Imperial Guard (or IG for short) and I am fanatical about them! I love to paint and create miniature games.
Now to find more zombie books to read.

Dammit. Seriously? Message me, dude. I mixed that episode of We're Not Dead. It seemed fine to me. If you want, I can edit up a version and turn Britt up to 11 for you.
Edit: I retract that statement, I forgot I cleaned out my laptop a few days ago. I hate my life. Sincerely sorry about that, my friend.

First I am a huge fan of podcast, zombie films so forth and so on. So I google search zombie podcast, and Were Alive popped up and I had to investigate. I would like to say that I liked that the podcast is right up my alley. For one I love to just sit back and listen to other people talk. And since this podcast is all audio, I fell in love all over again.
About me: I spend my spare time preparing myself and my family for the Zombie Apocalypse. I am a fan of guns, hunt feral game, hiking camping, mountain biking,
swimming, and a number of other activities. I love being in the mix, even though to you I maybe a observer. Most of all I like having fun, and shooting. Other aspect of my background I'll keep to myself.
This is awesome, and I am looking forward to meeting others of like mind.

Hey, everybody. I finally got around to making a forum account, so I figured I'd introduce myself. I'm 14 years old and I've been listening to WA since Chapter 24. I found out about it through lifehacker a while back and didn't get around to listening to it until the end of Season 2. I've listened through the podcast twice now and I've enjoyed every second of it.
Other than this I spend most of my time doing school (I'm homeschooled), and I also listen to quite a few podcasts, play video games, and run. I always didn't really care for the zombie genre, but recently I've started to really like fiction about it. I'm looking forward to the release of Season 3 even more.
I'd like to thank everyone involved in We're Alive for making my boring summer awesome. You guys have done an incredible job. I really like the personalities of the characters, especially Lizzy, Saul, Burt, and Michael. The story so far has been amazing and I'm glad that I have several more years of this to look forward to.

I'm a total geek, having an ardent loyalty to digimon (Watched all seasons even though the recent ones are not THAT great.) The current TV shows I'm following are Gokaiger; Suite Precure; My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic; Young Justice; Digimon Xros Wars: Time Traveling Hunter Boys and Persona 4 the animated series. I got into We're Alive through a forum member of Giantitp, the website for the web comic The Order of the Stick. Hope to get along in the community :D

Haha, no worries. I have a really good set of speakers at home, I've just yet to plug my computer in to them. I typically listen to it while driving, so I've got those sounds to deal with, plus they are only earbuds. So, I'm pretty sure it's just a problem on my end (although it did sound quieter than the others, which I listened to through the exact same medium).
Also, I feel like Britt is generally 'turned up to 11,' though perhaps not volume-wise. Which, of course, is why we like her. SO you mix the WND podcasts? That's really cool, man! I know that WND is a great addition to the WA podcast for me as a listener, so thanks for being a part of making that happen!

Yeah, there were a few issues. There was an echo going on with my side of the recording and such, so I take full responsibility.
Nono, I only mixed that episode because Britt had to go to E3 and wouldn't have had time for at least another week to do it. So for every other episode that sounds delightful to your ears, you should thank our favorite blonde host =P

And let the fun begin!.....
I actually found We're Alive surfing for something to listen to while at work. I had never listened to anything that came in this kind of format before. Well I was shocked! From Chapter 1 I have been engulfed in this story. I am working through my 6th listen-through of the story. I have noticed a couple of "mistakes" maybe....but only because I have listened so many times because of the addiction.
I love their take on Zombies! For people to be so diverse in life it only makes sense for there to be different "Kelly-Gobblers" in death. I can't wait for the 3rd Season and have absolutely no doubts it will continue to keep me wanting to hear more and more! Keep up the great work Kc!

Oh boy, I'm never very good at these things.
Well, I'm Michelle aka Jinx. I'm 25yrs old hailing from Minneapolis, MN - USA though am currently residing in Ota-ku, Tokyo - Japan, here for my Bachelor of Arts with a minor in Business. I stumbled upon this a few weeks ago on Facebook and since E.1 I've been hooked. I've got half my dorm listening to the podcast now and I just caught up to 24 and am dying for more (aha ha funny, dying, get it? No? eh.). Interesting story, I was listening to the podcast on my iPod during class and my Prof put his hand on my shoulder to get my attention... and I flailed. I hardcore flailed. As in, I almost knocked all the papers out of his hands, and the girl sitting next to me over, trying to get away kind of flailing... yeah... swift, eh? At any rate... now my Professor listens too lol.
But anyway, thanks for making such great stuff, I can't wait for the new season! Please don't make us wait too long. :)

Hello, my name is Adan (prounounced Ah-Don). I have been a zombie fan since I saw Night of the Living Dead at a drive in, at age 6, in 1981. I have always analyzed my surroundings for zombie survival, and love to hear of other's failures and triumps so I can learn. I am from Williamstown, NJ and am working on organizing a zombie walk for Halloween 2012 to benefit local food banks and the Red Cross. I hope to meet some great, same minded people here that aren't just fans of the podcast, but love to discuss zombie survival. (which we all know covers all disasters). I found the podcast while searching for halloween apps online and the podcast came up as well.

Hi, I'm Joshua I prefer to be called Joseph however. I was born in the wonderful city of Ridgecrest, California and spent 8 years of my life in San Diego before moving to Missouri with my family (being an army brat). I'm half-Korean, half-"melting pot USA" and have only been to Korea once when I was 2. I really want to learn Korean, but haven't found someone that knows how to teach me yet. I found out I loved zombies and zombie stories after being scared half to death when I was 6 while watching a movie with my brother. I'm just a teeny young 15 year old that considers himself an intellectual because he can research and has google. I was introduced to this wonderful podcast when a senior friend showed me it when I was a sophomore.

Just got Season 1 on audible and it sounds great! Alot different with out the ads and what not. My one thing is, if We're Alive ever goes to a live action TV or movie, Jon Hamm must play Michael. Jim sounds just like Jon Hamm and I always imagined Michael to look just like Jon Hamm.

Before my city had cable service, there was a radio station that replayed old radio dramas. I've been hooked since then. A couple of years ago my sons gave me an iPod and shortly after that I discovered podcasts. I have listened to a lot different programs and We're Alive is in a class of it's own. Excellent job, folks! I am eagerly waiting for the story to continue.

Hi all, I'm Leeanne, 19, I am from Calgary, Alberta, Canada but currently studying at the University of Lethbridge. I started listening to We're Alive in October of this year... Pretty much listened to all of season 1 and 2 just before and during the long weekend (Canadian thanksgiving) and was totally hooked! From listening to each episode back to back this wait for season 3 has been killing me... Excited for We're Not Dead live podcast today to announce the date. I have always liked zombie related movies and such so when a friend of mine introduced me I... Didn't like it. I listened to probably a minute of the first episode and hated Michael. Through encouragement I finished the episode and fell in love with this post-apocalyptic world of WA!

Howdy! I'm Susan, a stay at home mom in Texas who became addicted to audio books while trapped in the house with my boys when they were small. After the first few years I needed something to drown out Dora, Diego and Sponge Bob and to keep my brain from turning to mush while I washed endless loads of laundry and dishes. http://i41.tinypic.com/347y142.jpg In desperation, I turned to audio books and spent several years happily devouring the library's collection of downloadable titles. Last year I was introduced to WA on another forum I visit and I was hooked pretty much from the start. I've listened to it several times over and each time I listen I pick up on new little details that I've missed in the past. It never gets boring and I can't wait for the new season! Now that my kids are both in school full-time, I still listen while I do chores at home or sit in the carpool line.
When I ran out of WA episodes when I first started listening to the podcast, I jumped on the WND train and love the show! I love the humor, the interviews and the insight. Keep 'em coming!

I downloaded the entire 2 seasons and listened to them all.
I love the podcast. Awesome job. It is so easy to become invested in the characters. This wait is killing me. And now that Walking Dead is on mid-season break I am having serious zombie withdrawals.

Eboogey here. New to the site and loving it. I'm a newbie to 'we're alive' and 'we're not dead'. I grew bored of the audio books I'd listen to on my hour commute to work and started to search for free podcasts. I initially searched for anything reminiscent of 'Alfred Hitchcock presents' and the zombie podcast came up. Downloaded and heard season 1 and 2 in a matter of weeks. I was hooked and left distraught at the conclusion of season 2, but am convinced things are not what they seem. I find myself enjoying the we're not dead podcast bc of the close readings and interesting interviews. I am currently listening to the episode where pippen's death is discussed and who the mole may be. I have my thoughts on that and much more. And excited to start sharing. ^_^

Hello everyone. My name is Roy Bohling. I live and work in the Washington DC area, though I am from the Detroit, Michigan area prior to moving to DC this fall.
I'm not your typical forum member (I think) as I don't play the video games that many seem to thrive on. I love listening to Old Time Radio programs like Dragnet, Gunsmoke and Phillip Marlowe. I found this radio series searching for other podcasts on my Blackberry. I've listened to the first three episodes while creating my account. So far, it sounds very professionally created. I really enjoy the humor of some of the characters. Look forward to hearing the rest of the episodes.

Hi all, my name is TJ and I have live all of my life in Texas. I work as an engineer and travel all over the southern part of tornado alley doing so. I discovered we're alive on blackberry podcast one day a week ago while bored at lunch and because my commute is usually 1.5 hrs each way and 6+ when going to new work locations I listened to all of season 1 and 2 in about 3 days. I am very hooked as it is well written, acted and appeals to my taste. I am not purely a zombie enthusiast but more accurately am a survival enthusiast and zombie apocolyse just happens to fit nicely in that category. So i thoroughly enjoy zombies as one outlet to my survivalist nerdom.

Howdy all, fellow zombie enthusiast here. Started listening to "We're Alive" after I ran out of "the survival podcast" episodes for long drives. Formerly an EMT, currently a medical student. I am also a gun/knife/flashlight collector, so I will be pulling my own weight here at the tower.

Hello, all. I'm KMO, host of the C-Realm Podcast. The C in C-Realm stands for consciousness, and I've put out a new show every Wednesday for the last five years. I love zombie films, books, and games (though my experience with zombie video games is meager), and once in a blue moon, I would host a show on the topic of the zombie apocalypse. Some listeners didn't understand my fascination and wrote to tell me so. As the Walking Dead TV show was nearing its premier, I had the idea to create a new podcast called the Talking Dead. Well, it turned out that someone else had already snagged that title, so my would-be co-host, Marty (of the Flickers from the Cave podcast) suggested that we call the show the Z-Realm Podcast. The show comes out on an irregular basis, but we're up to 26 episodes, and we make a point of honoring requests from listeners concerning subject matter for the show. More than one listener asked us to review the We're Alive podcast, so I decided to check it out. I was hooked straight away, though I've had to take long breaks from listening. I'm nearly to the end of the first season (Chapter 13), and I'm fascinated by the world of We're Alive and am anxious to learn more.

Hi Folks,
I discovered "We're Alive" from my brother when he loaned me Season 1 on CD. I ate it up. I now own Season 2. I'm a big fan of old radio shows like CBS Mystery Theater. I love the way the producers use audio to tell the story.
My background is, I'm a video producer/cinematographer and I have shot lots of horror films. My IMDB listing is: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0817387/
Can hardly wait until Season 3.

Hello. There's only a little to tell about me. I'm 16 and from Northern Wisconsin. I will be attending a military school next year, to take yet another step towards my dream of becoming a leader of Marines. I'm a big fan of Star Wars and the way I got hooked on We're Alive was that I was looking for podcasts of Star Wars before I started looking around in general and that's how I happened upon this show. After listening to it religiously for two days, I am now up to speed, a huge fan, and eagerly awaiting season 3.

Not much of a horror fan, prefer sci-fi and PAW-centric stories. Happened across WA last year while Googling for my next good read after WWZ. Am totally captivated by the story and presentation, you make Orson proud. Once my 10-year old boy is old enough to handle the nightmares (and I can handle being in the doghouse with my wife!), I'll intro him to the series. Gotta twist their minds early, you know!

Hey I found this podcast in Instacast one day when I ran out of things to listen too. Not a big zombie buff but episodic shows remind me of my childhood waaaaaaaay back in the mid 90's when I was 10 and would take rides to Miami while listening to books on tape and radio stories.
Love the story but now I have a big problem! I have to wait! Ha. I always laughed when the announcer would say "See you in 2 weeks" Nope I'll see you in 2 minutes! I listened to the entire show in about 5 days so now I have to wait like everyone else.

Hey, I have been listening to this podcast for ages, after my brother's room-mate on a geography trip recommended it, but never thought to join the forum. Well here I am!
I'm an 18 year old girl who lives in Nottingham, England, I have a twin brother and I want to study Genetics at university in September. I love zombies (though I probably wouldn't be too fond of them in real life) and I feel I am totally unprepared for a zombie apocalypse (guns aren't really commonplace over here- where's Burt when I need him?) .
I love the podcast and am so glad the wait for the new season is over!

Hello, I am Quinn. I live in Gold Bar Washington. Been here about six years after driving cross country with my wife, two kids, two dogs, and 14 cats (all in a 1997 Ford F-150) after leaving Mannington, West Virginia. I have been afraid and obsessed with Zombies most of my life since I first saw Night of the Living Dead (original) on Chiller Theater (w/ Chilly Billy) on a late, dark, and stormy night when I was a wee lad. The music video Thiller (Micheal Jackson for you young ones) did't help matters much either. After that I was hooked. I try to watch and read (listen, audio books cause I don't real like to read and this is just the same) every thing about Zombies that I can. Even have a poster from the CDC (Yes that is the Center for Disease Contoll) about getting read for the Zombie Apocalypse. They say you need to try and embrace your fear so this is how I go about it.

From London UK, found We're Alive on iTunes ages ago by accident! been hooked ever since!
The reason I listened was because it reminded me of "ilovebees" - the Halo Alternate Reality Viral Campaign! It was amazing.
However, I can safely say that "We're Alive" is as good as, if not better than "ilovebees".
Keep up the good work! I've just listened to episode 1 of Season 3! Good stuff!!!!

Wow, where to begin? Hi. Ok, from the beginning. I am a digital Illustrator and spend all day in front of my Mac drawing cute little pictures. I have become addicted to podcast driven books, stories and just podcast in general. I listen to Scott Sigler, JC Hutchins, Jim Butcher and several others. I also listen to several podcast related to RC airplanes (I'm a plane geek), Macs, Freelancing and several others. I even have broken down and bought several audio books and I have listened to the complete Steven King Dark Tower series twice!!!
So I am not sure how I found out about We're Alive? Browsing through Itunes I think. Anyway I started it thinking it sounded like a good way to pass the time while I wait for a Sigler update. Holly S$%t!!! This Rocks!!! Best Podcast/Book/Story/Audiobook I have come across hands down. I started at the beginning of Dec 2011 and finished right before x-mas break. I was freaking out on when the next book would start up, did a little search and find it was just released! Great timing, but now I have to wait week to week for an update.
Now I found the podcast We're not Dead and am starting to get caught up with that one. Another good podcast and this Brittney Chick sounds Hawt which is probably a little creepy cause I am probably old enough to be her dad. Ha anyway Keep it up everyone, I am on the edge of my seat over here in Central Illinois.

Hello all,
There is nothing special here. I started listening to "Were Alive" last summer in the beginning of my deployment, and was instantly addicted. Quickly I caught up at the season 2 finally, and have been re-listening to the seasons until the beginning of season 3. During the break I started listening to Were not Dead and just as much of a fan of the show as I am the story. I cant wait till this season get into full swing.

Hello everyone,
My name is Angelo, I'm 24 years old and I reign from Stratford, Connecticut. As a life long fan of horror, We're Alive was an excellent fit! I have a BA in Communications, I went through a Film Industry Training Program at Quinnipiac Universtity in Hamden, CT where I was certified as an Assistant Director on *Non-union* films in the state of CT (if you live in CT, I would highly recommend the program and its cause), I've worked as a PA on two television shows for TLC called Chainsaw Ice Sculptors that aired a couple years back and now I work at a research company in Stamford.
Film and radio are very much an important part of my life. Not everyone has an ear/patience for radio/podcasts, but they're most definitely missing out. You guys have done an excellent job thus far. I love the story, the audio quality and the approach to sound effects is superb, and your suspense strategy is awesome. We're Alive deserves a dedicated audience. If there is anything I can do besides spreading the word by mouth/social networking, I'd be more than happy to assist.

Sup? I'm Jordan 25 years old from Tampa, FL. Been listening to We're Alive ever since Season 1. Was referred to this by none other than Mr. Greg Miller (heard about it on his other podcasts). I am into sci-fi, fantasy, and history. Lover of most types of music and video games. Since it seems to be the norm to just list off random/weird facts.
- I bear a very strong resemblance to WWE Superstar Mark Henry.
- I was born a legit giant, was diagnosed with giantism when I was a teenager. I have been 6 foot 8 since I was in the 8th grade. I am currently 6 foot 8 and 336 lbs. Sounds like a lot but 4 months ago I was 357lbs. Progress!
- I currently work as a bouncer and am in training to become a professional wrestler.
- I had an accident about six years ago where I suffered severe burns to my left hand which has left it completely numb. Outside from a extreme cold I don't feel a thing on the surface of the palm of my hand.
- I have a terrible case of thantophobia (fear of dying/death) and this podcast actually is sort of therapy for me.
- I am named after the Star Trek: TNG character Giordi LaForge. My mother is a huge Trekkor (she gets offended if you call her a Trekkie) and thought Giordi was spelled as "Jordy" and was short of "Jordan". She also speaks Klingon and refers to me and my two other siblings by Borg Designations. I am 3 of 4 (and I even got it tattoo'd on my arm as tribute to her).
- She also used Final Fantasy 4 was a learning aid to teach me how to read when I was 4 years old.
- While unrelated to We're Alive, I have written into Greg Miller's Knockin' Boots podcast and his response was one of the few that prompted me to begin my wrestling training.
- I collect Luchadore masks and am known to wear one in public. Why? Why the hell not.

Hi there...
My name is Jorge, I'm from Mexico City. 39, married, with a 10 year old girl that also loves horror films and scaring the crap out of her older cousins.
I'm a computer programmer, C#,java,VB (Geeks know what that is).
I heard of "We're Alive" in the Talking Dead (can't remember what episode) and had to check it out. I love it!
I always remember loving zombie films, the first one I remember going to the movies to see was Return of the Living dead, from that point on I fell in love with the genre.
About 10 years ago a friend of mine showed me that I could collect zombie movies, when he lent me Dawn of the dead and then Day of the dead on DVD, from that point on, I started collecting as many zombies as I could, first on DVD and now digital (I can fit more movies in a 3 TB HD, than have dvds laying around). Then on my search for movies I found a free zombie novel "Autumn", when I read it, I got addicted to zombies fiction, so I went on another collecting spree and gathered as much zombie fiction as I could. I recomend the homepageofthedead.com, they have about 900 horror stories, most of them about zombies!
So now I collect anything digital having to do with zombies (games, rpgs, podcasts, movies, series, novels, fictions, images, etc..)
PS: I'm also a big fan of porn.

Hi all! My name's Hope and yes, I had a bit of a girly moment to find out that I shared a name with a character. I don't often run across people who share my name in life so this was a treat. The zombie genre has always been my favorite out of all things horror. I just happened to be searching in iTunes this past October for something new to listen to while I worked and came across the "We're Alive" podcast. Totally freaking rocked of course! Waaay better than a silly old audiobook. I managed to absorb both seasons in two weeks and then went back for seconds. :) It was torture, I tell you, to have to wait over a month for the third season to begin and now the wait between the new epi's is even worse. I'm listening to the "We're Not Dead" podcasts now to help soothe the "itch". lol I'm hoping that by joining the forum it will help the wait seem a little less long and look forward to discussing the podcasts with everyone.

No need to ask... That's what the internet is for, free exchange of information. <rant>I hate SOPA, RIP Megaupload</rant>
Well, surprisingly, there's not that much!
I'd say that 99.9% is hidden cameras and free amateur uploads taken from cel phones or hand cameras.
I've only found/have 2 "profesional" mexican porn movies, and the rest is just the amateur stuff off the web.
The profesional stuff is a lot like the mainstream american/european porn, but with uglier/fatter women and with a lot less budget.

Hi !
My name is Paul, 40 years old and I live in Atlanta.
I found We're Alive last fall just after the second season wrapped up. I listened to season 1 and season 2 straight through.... It's the best podcast I've ever come across !!!!
When I tell people about the podcast, they're skeptical... When they listen to it, they're blown away just like I was.

Hi, I found we're alive by accident, on the skeptoid list actually, and really love the show. I listened right through seasons 1 & 2 till about episode 18 or so and then had to wait for each new one. I sort of wish I only just found it again. I enjoy reading the forum too, especially the posts by KC himself.

Hey Folks,
I'm Joe. I have been listening for a while now. Love this show and tell everyone about it. I'm a family man and zombie's are my hobby. How messed up is that? I live in a rual community in Iowa so my chances of survival are good. I really want to own a tank for some type of APC. I keep saving my pennines and my wonderful wife keeps saying no.

Hello All,
My name is Daniel. I found the podcast by accident just last week and have burned more than half my vacation catching up on the story. While not really a zombie genre fan (except for Zombie Land), I really enjoy the story.
Personally, I'm a homebrewer so, in the event of an actual zombie emergency, whoever comes along to help will have nice beers to drink. Professionally, I'm a technician for the Texas Lottery, and before anyone asks: No, if I knew I would be fabulously wealthy right now.
Have a nice day.

Hey guys my name is Reece, I'm from Gosport- England (South next to Portsmouth).
I'm a CNC operator, which sounds alot better then what it is. I just cut wood up into smaller rectangles and get covered in dust all day.
But with the machines on it given me alot of time to listen to 'We're Alive' :) Which i discovered after a long search for a decent podcast to keep me going.
Anyway if anyone wants to know anything you know where i am.

My name's Amanda. I'm from Madison, Virginia and have now migrated to Schuyler, Virginia (a meager two hours away), so I've lived in and around Central Virginia pretty much my entire life. I'm a stay at home mom and wife, though my house is probably never going to be spotless. I'm a writer, and will write just about everything, and I'm a pretty hard-core geek about anything that takes my interest.
I found this podcast on Facebook, and now I'm in the process of forcing my husband to listen to it with me.
I guess I'll do some interesting facts about me:
*I participated in a local zombie 5k. My daughter was 2 at the time and the youngest registered runner and zombie. I was also a zombie. My husband was a human, because in my daughter's words we had to "chase Daddy, catch Daddy and eat Daddy." She's still obsessed with zombies - right now she's upstairs screaming 'I am a zombie!' to scare away spiders.
*I convinced my local Starbucks to create a Zombie Evacuation Plan.
*I've just realized that the interesting facts about me aren't really about me.
Neil
Jan 27th, 2012, 01:45 PM
Name is..um..Neil. I'm from Rocky Mountain House, Alberta up here in the Great White North (a.k.a. America's uglier but more sensible sister). I'm the owner/manager of a small movie theatre in my home town. I didn't start out wanting to run my own business, but when I realized I wanted to get married, I also realized that my Film Studies degree was completely and utterly useless at providing employment.
Fun Fact. If your degree ends in the word 'Studies', you were just punk'd!
Anyhoo, since I let my employees handle most of the customer relations stuff, I get to hang out in my office and listen to 'We're Alive' and playing zombie related video games. I'm also a radio drama buff myself, having learned of 'We're Alive' through the Audio Talk website, and have written a few radio scripts myself. One, entitled 'Omega Man' was an alt-history story about the lone soldier who survived the D-day landings only to find Europe covered in the undead. Good times.
Fun Fact #2: I've developed a good repertoire of responses to the question of why a grown man still loves zombies so much, all with the intent of making me seem much smarter then I actually am.
Thanks for the great show, guys!

HI my name is Toni and I live in the south, I found your podcast when someone posted it on a TWD Facebook page. I have been a horror fan for all my life. When I first starting listening, I have to admit, I didn't think I would like it. But the more I listened the more I liked it. I love to read so I know how to use my imagination but this takes it to a new level. My husband who remembers when he got his first TV as a child. didn't understand what I was listening to, finally had to explain to him that it is like listening to a radio broadcast and I said yea but more technical. Anyway I enjoy it can't wait for 26 to come out.

Love the survival aspects of the zombie genre (Dawn of the Dead was always a favorite because the survivor's experience in the Mall).
Resident Evil is a great series, though the movies have slaughtered it in my opinion.
Anywho... I'm thrilled by WA and am glad to start communicating in the forums.

My name is Rob Anderson, and I'm a comic book writer based in Virginia. I'm a HUGE fan of We're Alive...so much so that I sponsored some upcoming episodes. I discovered the show via one of the comic book colorists I work with.
I haven't been listening from the start like many of you, but I've been around for quite a while and felt the pain of the pause before the latest season started up! (You get so spoiled when you first discover We're Alive, listening to them all together...and then you have to wait like everyone else -- ha)
As you may have guessed, some of my comics are zombie-related and my new book is an "animals versus zombies" story called "Rex, Zombie Killer (http://www.rexzombiekiller.com)." In a nutshell, it's about a small pack of animals trying to cross the country after a zombie apocalypse. Oh, and there's a gorilla with a baseball bat. (It was actually the colorist on this particular book that introduced me to We're Alive, back when he and I first met.)
Anyway, just like you, I'm waiting for the next episode of We're Alive! And hoping that Lady the dog stays safe! :)

Names Tish, 26 and am a Graphic Designer in the making. Born and raised in the vast saharan plains Kenya, East Africa. Hunting lions and running topless in the sun were among some of favourite childhood pastimes (XP kinda). I currently reside in the great white north, Canada. And I stumbled across this here zombie podcast some time back and forgot about it. I know, shame on me. Then a buddy of mine told me about it again and I went "Oh yeah"!
I don't normally do forums but had to give this one a shot... hmmm. Wat else, oh yeah, I LOVE THE THRILL OF FEAR... no wait, I like getting scared. Let me explain, I love horror films because they make me jump, squirm and hide behind my hand. Thriller (MJ) TERRIFIED me when I was a tippy-ty (that never stopped me), I'd hide behind the couch or peek from the top of the stairs when my brothers and sister were not looking. Horror flicks would give me nightmares as child but I now know I loved the thrill.
Speaking of dreams, I have ALOT of zombie apocalypse dreams. Of course am always bad ass!

My younger sister actually turned me on to listening to We're Alive, I had heard about it before but never researched it. We spent 2 hours driving to Flagstaff to drop her back off at school after X-Mas break. Best drive ever! I finally caught up just today and I absolutely love We're Alive. Sad that I have caught up but excited that I can finally join in on discussions and theories.
Any who, just working full time and gaming with what I have left. =) I have a YouTube channel, it keeps me occupied when I take a break from gaming. Feel free to check it out if you're in to gaming as well!

I found We're Alive on a random search through podcasts on iTunes last year (Around the time of Chapter 15) and have been hooked since. Been looking on the forums to see ideas on what was going to happen next for some time but only just decided to sign up so as to share my ideas.
I play on my Xbox in my spare time and also watch a lot of football (Or soccer, if you prefer) aswell.

Hello (Good start to an introduction I think)
My name's Liam and I come from the Ingleby Barwick area of England (A place nobody outside there seems to know where it is.) I am 16 so I am still in secondary school.
Now for the part that's supposed to set me apart from everyone else. I 'suffer' (I use the term lightly but it's apparently serious) from the genetic illness that is Ostiogenis Imperfecta. Also known as OI which is also known as brittle bones. I could bore you all with the all the facts like that dominant alleles control it and other such things, but that might be a little cruel of me.
I came across We're Alive from just browsing through the podcast section of iTunes a couple of weeks ago and have made my way though to just the end of the first season so far.

Hi!
My name is Marijke and I live in the north of Sweden in a little town called Skellefteć - most known for its gold and its hockeyteam.
I live on a small farm with my cats, dog, and chicken (my main food source when the z-virus hits? Perhaps!) in the countryside.
Facts about me:
* I have worked as a; personal trainer, masseus, florist, preschool teacher, nursing auxiliary, translator, barista, and as a cashier in different shops.
* I went to a school of performing arts and majored in theatre - but also studied dance and song. After that I went to college to study to become a PT, preschool teacher, english teacher, and well - all of the jobs I wrote above.
* I have been to London a couple of times and loved it! I met so many people from all over the world and I would not hesitate to go back there - I always have a blast! I wish I could travel more.
* I used to play World Of Warcraft. For the Horde!
* I am horribly ashamed of, but totally mesmeried by, watching "16 and pregnant" on MTV (oh the horror of actually admitting it...)
I realized while writing facts about me...that I am pretty much boring!
I found We're Alive while searching the interwebz for audiobooks about zombies. I downloaded as much as I could, before actually checking it out for real on the zombiepodcast.com and on facebook. I got hooked from the very first minute of it. And I know that I have atleast gotten 4-6 people just as hooked on the podcast as me by recommending it.

Hi Everybody,
Just your typical zombie fan here. Found out about We're Alive a few months back from a co-worker, and listened to an episode or two a day while at work (when I had time) finally caught up, and of course the series is on a couple week break. I finally understand the torture you all endure week in and week out the last few years. Started listening to the We're Not Dead podcast to tide me over.
I'm a Software Validation Engineer from just North of Detroit, MI (So, I've pretty much been enduring an apocalyptic lifestyle for the last few years). I, like most on here, spend downtime on various video games, but hate spending the big bucks on new games, so I'm behind the times in gaming. Typically find me on Left 4 Dead, a few of the CoDs, and Borderlands when it comes to Xbox360, but my heart resides in the realm of Diablo 2. I think I've finally kicked the habit though, and have spent the last year off of it.
Joined this forum to add input to the crazy theories on the future of We're Alive, as I've got my suspicions as well. Props to KC and the crew, this whole.......THING is just plain phenomenal

Yea D3 is going to ruin my social life for sure...but being on D2 for so many years and hearing the rumors, I've become numb to the pain of D3s projected arrival. When it happens I'll be ruined, but until then, I've turned a blind eye.
Which Halo is the game of choice? I'm down for halo every now and again, pretty rusty though.

I think Bethesda said today that they'll be announcing the release date of the game "soon." Take that for what you will.
We play Reach. No worries, we play casually. :)

I'm beginning to think the entire group allowed to speak about the D3 project can only speak the language of 'soon'...so like you said, I'll take it with a grain of salt. If I propogate some math behind the number of times they've said 'soon' over how long they've said that, I believe the limit of said release date is approaching infinity :(
I'll try and dig out my Reach disc this weeked tho!

Nice! Keep an eye on this thread. We'll try to plan something soon! http://www.zombiepodcast.com/forum/showthread.php?2877-W-A-Game-Nights-Are-Back!

Hi! My name is Shirley and I'm a zombie addict. So about me, I'm sdfjei years old and currently live in Houston, Tx. where I work as a research scientist in the Texas Medical Center. In my spare time (what's that?) I like to read, play with my two kittehs (no they aren't named whiskers), work in the yard, run and watch most sports. Other than that, there isn't much left to say. Oh, I love The Walking Dead but would be fine if the sent Shane to the moon. ;-)

Hi not signed up for a forum for years but after hearing the latest episode I had to see what everyone was saying about the show and stumbled happily upon these forums.
A little about myself, I'm 31 and from the UK, I listen to Were Alive because I heard some gamz jarnalist called Gregor Miller talk about it on an IGN podcast and had to try it for myself and eded up listening to the whole of season 1 in 2 work days!! I am into games and play on PS3 username SuperMutant1980. Favourite type of games are RPGs particularly Bethesda ones and I would throw a shitfit if they would ever consider making a zombie apocalypse RPG. My favourite Were Alive character was Burt but now he's seemingly dead I'm leaning more towards Saul and my favourite episode so far is the latest one 'The Thirty First pt 1'.

This is gonna be super short because I hate talking about myself randomly, if you have any questions just ask.
Anyway, my name is Paul and I live in the middle of no where in Michigan about an hour from Detroit (the only city most people know of in this sate if they're not from here) surrounded by acres and acres of forest and farm fields. I'm a huge fan of all things zombie and post-apocalyptic, and was introduced to We're Alive! during Chapter 10 by my boss who was originally from California and still reads the papers from out there and saw an article about it. I listened to all the back episodes straight through since i was instantly I was instantly addicted and have waited patiently every week since.
I recently just found We're Not Dead and listened to all that in a 3 day marathon and it inspired me to re-discover the forum and finally start participating.

Hey my name's Isabel and I'm from Toronto, Canada!
I heard about We're Alive from my boyfriend and have listened to it religiously ever since! I normally listen to it in the car each time there's a new episode. I also recently got a book on zombie origami so maybe I'll test that out sometime soon!
A little about me....
I don't play hockey, don't say eh all that often and I haven't even managed to find a suitable igloo to live in. :P
I'm really into superheroes but I also really love sports, namely basketball and soccer.
I'm in university studying french and history and one day hope to teach!

Hey all. My name is Jude and I'm from Albuquerque, New Mexico. Yes it is a state in the United States founded in 1912 haha I'm the proud father of a beautiful daughter and engaged to be married. I am an account manager of Sprint and a lover of knowledge in the most recent years of my life, but a Kong time lover if all things zombies for many years! I haven't done much travelling, but read and research everything quite regularly, so I have a decent library of knowledge in my head, so hopefully ready for the zombie apocalypse.

I'm Jason, a new arrival from San Diego.
I didn't think there were any other survivors, but here I find you all... and not a moment too soon.
I keep seeing this strange man in a suit... only he's not quite... well, not quite right, if that makes any sense. I never see him up close, but there seems to be something wrong with his face. Weird markings all over his skin, and he's not quite a man-shape, not really.
I keep seeing him on rooftops and in the middle of the city streets... the other day I swear he actually spotted me, but I haven't seen him since.
The fires burn at night. God only knows who's setting the damn things.
This journal is tattered and about to fall to bits... but I really don't relish the thought of leaving the transit station to get another.

Hi guys, my name is Brady. I'm 14, a freshmen in high school, and just recently listened to the whole We're Alive series on my iPhone since I have been stuck home with a concussion for the past 2 weeks, unable to go back to school. I live in west chester, Pennsylvania, and I play lacrosse and soccer. This will be my first post and I have to say I don't really know what I am doing. All I know is that I think the series is great and just would like to talk to some like minded people. So yea, that's about it.

This is Ari from Raleigh, NC. I moved out of LA not too long ago because the Zombies were really getting in the way of our family outings.
I came into the world of We're Alive because I'm related to a cast member. He told me about this project that he thought was super-cool, and he was right! I have been super impressed by the quality of writing/acting/fan-content. WE has gotten me through quite a few long car rides, flights, and long runs. Nothing like the adrenaline-inducing sounds of zombie chases to get you through that last mile of a run!
Thank you for being a great source of entertainment - I've never been compelled to read a fan forum, let alone actually post to one before. Keep up the great work!

Hi all, I'm Jackie. I'm a longtime listener and finally registered to the forum. I'm finding it increasingly irritating that everytime I reference "the tower" or "ground zero" in my daily activities people assume I'm talking about 9/11. So better I'm here with my kind. I'm 32, a radiation therapist work in NYC but live in New Jersey.
I found the podcast by accident, and truth be told, the shortness of the episodes were killing me in the beginning. But the quality of the story, the details, are worth the agonizing wait for the next episode.
I commend all those involved in the production!

Hello all. The last thread was pretty long, so I thought I would start a new one for those of us just joining more recently.
I'm Sorshanik. Let's start with I'm a gluten free ginger geek girl that can drive stick and shoot a gun, thanks to my hun who taught me both. My fav things in the world are a cup of tea, a good book, classical music, mac & cheese, RPG's and a shiney revolver next to me just in case. I love cinema, especially horror/slasher flicks. I don't watch too much TV but I sure do love The Walking Dead and American Horror Story. I, (along with my freaky friends), am always making an ongoing plan for the coming apocalypse with zombie/robot/alien contingencies. I just started listening to this podcast recently after peer pressure from a friend. I just finished season one last night, so I am not without information on the storyline and characters and theories. I joined the forum because I used to LOVE to be in forums on the net, haven't in a long time and decided this would be fun. I like to debate, not fight.

Hey all I will finally introduce myself. My name is obviously Tyler d. And no i didnt just take that from fight club to be cool I'm actually Tyler d, but in one aspect i am similar to the quote that (spoiler alert lol) Tyler Says well himself "Hey, you created me. I didn't create some loser alter-ego to make myself feel better. Take some responsibility!" in the fact that I basically have a normal job and life I work for Budweiser in a sign shop a and am very plain and average, and on the flip side I play in a fantasy power metal band called heralds of the sword where we have an entire story line and I dress as my story character (alter ego) on stage. Research us if you would like if your into fantasy you may just be nerdy enough to dig us. Anyways I had a co-worker bug and bug me untill I listened to we're alive a few months ago. I was hooked instantly I've listened fully throught 3 times up to chapter 27 starting then I have filtered back through numberious episodes finding info and catching every detail I could. I've become consumed more so then my co-worker that he now hates discussing were alive with me ha. I started to bug him after I found out for sure tanya was sauls mom in WA, I remember shouting "yes I knew it" because that was my theory when we meet her in the story. I've been lurking the forums and posted a few the first day I signed up before I knew how all the discussion sections layed out. I'll try too hop on and add my 2 cents more now. Also digging the WND podcasts!

Haha hit that wall the first week I downloaded all the episodes I listened to the whole podcast through a 5 day span then had to wait like everyone to know what was next. That's why I benge listen to chapters and the wnd podcast still because I don't know what to do with myself some days everything else seems so boring espically at work by myself i cant get enough. Hey everybody, Red Shirt here. I suppose one could say that I have been on a bit of a zombie "kick" lately... After watching Zombieland and The Geek Group's Chris Boden EDC review (http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&list=UUbaAyXYMnbQu0BGGPbvxHsw&v=bJlFmZ9hnjU#t=707s) again, I started "building" my Zombie Apocalypse Bug out Bag and ordered the Zombie Survival Guide (and WWZ) on the 25th of March and it arrived on the 30th. By Wednesday, the 4th of April, I started thinking that I aught to try to find some audio podcast to listen to to/from and at work.
Web searched "Zombie Podcast" and turned up "We're Alive," and some other nonsense. DL'd a sample and listened to them on Thursday... Got hooked and caught up by Saturday afternoon when I hit that "wall" everyone is talking about. In 2 1/2 days. Cue creepy music.
I gotta say, I am thoroughly impressed. I was a little apprehensive in the beginning though. With the story starting at the Reserve Center and being a Reservist and Active Duty vet, I was understandably concerned. They nailed it. As the story unfolded, I imagined it playing out in my motor pool, my arms room. The only quibble I have is where were the Unit's AGR full-timers? I figure that they must have gotten eaten.
I have many thoughts on the show Zombie preparedness and on the Zombie Uprising in general, so you're sure to hear from me in other forum areas.
As I mentioned, I'm a 20 year vet, still serving in the Army Reserves. I'm a bit of a fan of FPS shooters, notably the Half Life 2 series. I noticed that some SFX from that game got used in the podcast. You could also say that I'm a bit of a fan of preparedness and situational awareness. I like to know what is going on around me. If I hear an Air Raid/Tornado siren, I always check the time, to make sure it is only a test. If I hear the EBS, I turn it up and listen very closely. I also have my local NOAA radar (http://radar.weather.gov/radar.php?rid=ffc&product=N0R&overlay=11101111&loop=yes) and the RSOE EDIS (http://hisz.rsoe.hu/alertmap/index2.php) bookmarked. I'm lacking a few things I would prefer to have, but I will have them soon enough.

Welcome Red Shirt. I've always been a zombie fan, so I was pleased with the recent resurgence of the zombie love coming back around. I'm a bit older than you, so I've seen this a few times now. :-) After The Walking Dead season 2 finale I was lost without a zombie fix, until a friend (@NateEeez), peer pressured me into this podcast and I've been hooked ever since. You finished in less than a week? Holy crap! I was warned about "the wall" so I am taking it slow. About 1 chapter every day or so mostly M-F while commuting. Occassionally on the weekend. I'm rationing it out, so to speak as I know season 2 ends in May or June. I'm only on chapter 15 right now, so I have a ways to go thankfully. Enjoying every minute.
So welcome to the Tower! Join in when you can.

Between this, The Walking Dead, and many other zombie movies and games, I can safely say that zombies are my favorite form of horror entertainment.

Hi All!! I'm a married mother of one from Oklahoma. I've always loved all things supernatural. Mostly vampire and zombie related. Unfortunatley, I'm the only one in my household that will watch anything with blood or gore, so I usually have to get my fix on the weekends when the hubby and son are out. I work an hour away from home, so I've always listened to audio books. After season 2 of The Walking Dead was over, I was really missing my zombie fix! Someone on TWD forum sugggested We're Alive and I quickly listened to the first episode. I've been hooked from the first word! This looks like a great place to hang out and talk to others that share my love of zombies. I look forward to chatting with you all :)

Hi. I'm another recent recruit to the show's audience. A thread on GamersWithJobs.com (http://www.gamerswithjobs.com/node/71394?page=35#comment-2163788) about The Walking Dead (TV) sent me here.
I remember watching The Night of the Living Dead in 2nd grade, at around midnight, with my mom. I'm not sure what possessed her to watch it, and to include me, but perhaps it was on TV and was at the time still relatively recent (this is approximately 1977-1978, so no VHS). She also thought a snack of oatmeal and toast would be nice. I still recall watching a female zombie eating a dismembered hand and noting how similarly it sounded to my spoonful of oats.
Like many, I'm a fan of The Walking Dead, warts and all. I think We're Alive succeeds over TWD in the humanity of the characters. How often have you noticed Kirkman's characters melodramatically bemoaning how their old world is gone, about how "this world is pitiless," etc.? I get it, and it makes sense: it's an apocalypse. But though Michael, Lizzie, Saul, et al do discuss this, they don't dwell on it as much. They're people; they've got stuff to do.
I started Chapter 1 last Wednesday, I think. By this morning I had hit the wall. I tried listening to some of my other podcasts (gaming), but great as they are I didn't want to be away from the group from The Tower. So I've just restarted Chapter 1.

Hey, welcome! Glad to see that my mom wasn't the only one who let her kid watch Night way before she should have!
I find it interesting that our culture has adopted the idea of more than one apocalypse. I blame this on Buffy.

As much as I liked Buffy the few times I came across it, noting its winning formula of humor and humanity, it never really stuck. There's very little that does for me what the Occidental zombie does. Werewolves are mostly just bear + wolf and don't evoke much dread. Vampires? Don't get me started. They're just meth addicts or sociopathically egocentric athletes.
But the zombie? The zombie is something else, mortality incarnate but more than that. The zombie is a means to freedom from layers of pedantry abstracted from our more basic nature. The zombie returns us to the frontier, to the Old West, to a desperate time in a bleak landscape where the only rat race is survival.

Wow. I LOVED Buffy for it's occassionaly creepy characters and apocalypse scenarios, it's crazy humor and it's humanity with the Scooby Gang. But I did not like every ep. Just like I love Freddy Kreuger but not every movie. Same with zombie stuff. What they all have in common? I like being creeped out, highly entertained and occassionally scared. BUT I agree with one thing. I'll take a zombie over a vampire and werewolf any day. However, there is a fight in my soul if you are gonna compare apocalypse scenarios between zombies and aliens. Thats a tough call.
