i'm lazy. Also with windows 7 you have to dig a little deeper to find things saved under the profile so i just put things on the desktop. I do delete things just like I do clean out my car eventually

Its this program called Rain Meter.

You can download it then google and look at their forums for some cool skins, its very customizable. It's way better than windows gadgets. =P

It did take me a while to figure out how everything works though.

Let me just advise both of you to use Imgur.com (http://imgur.com). Amazing image upload site. Registered or not, no bandwidth or size restrictions, hotlinking allowed.

Upload it there. After you upload you will see a textbox for "Linked Image for Message Boards". Copy that, and paste it here.

If you feel like thumbnailing the image, add a "t" before your file extension. If you want a 160x160 crop scaled, add a "b" before the file extension.

No, facebook is rather annoying now to describe how to get the actual url of the image. It's possible but much harder. Just use imgur

It's a key on your keyboard, should be above the "Insert|Home|PgUP". After pressed, should be on ur clipboard, so then go on paint do what timberwoof said.

Also if you're running windows 7 there is also an application called Snipping Tool in your start menu, just open it and highlight your screen.

I'm surprised that noone else is having the taskbar on the side. It takes a few minutes to get used to, but it's much more organized.

I keep my window count down by keyboarding a ton of my shortcuts. (EG: minimize to tray, have specific shortcuts to show specific apps)

Reaper: Press the 'Print Screen' button on your computer, open paint, then hold 'Control' and press 'v'.
It will paste a screenshot.

If that doesn't work, you can open Snipping Tool, click the little v-shaped arrow next to 'New'and select 'Full screen snip'.

I've got a new laptop, and am almost finished setting everything up.
This is what it looks like for now:

The wallpaper is part of a long slideshow with similar pictures.
They all have a very stimulating effect to turn on the pc/laptop. Then while stuff is loading, your eyes have something to look at. And when it's ready, you can start working with a good attitude ;)

And yes, having the taskbar on the side is awesome. Thanks for noticing.

I have my wallpaper set on a one minute rotation, keyed to a folder full of over 300 different space/future/scifi themed pictures. I also Have Aero (clear) at 100% transparent and taskbar auto hide turned on.

I also can't stand to have any icons on my desk. AT ALL. Luckily, Win7 allows you to right click a taskbar icon and access the recent/pinned files.
